Every thing is possible in your life. There will be no surprise that the strand of hair that you found everyday on your brush. It is the complex part of your body amazingly. Can you believe that you come along with hair while you are in womb? There are 5 million follicles can be found on the body when you are 22 weeks old. In fact these follicles are gradually developed through out your life. There is no chance of new follicles.

Hair Anatomy

You can not separate Hair from follicle, which is firmly embedded with your skin. Even you will found the shaft of hair on our body attached with your skin. There are multiple layers in the follicle and each layer has a particular function. One of them is the papilla which lies at the base of your hair follicle. The second one is capillary, which also connected with the papilla. These capillaries are always ready to supply blood to the every bottom part of your hair strand which is called as the bulb.

Those who are surrounded to the follicle are two types of sheaths, inner and outer. The main purposes of these sheaths are to protect the hair shaft from damage and to help hair to grow out in the proper direction strongly. The role of the inner sheath is to run towards the hair shaft and to the ends at the oil gland. But the outer sheath runs to the gland and ends at the erector pili muscle. Your hair will stand when muscle will contract.

Keratin is the most important cells which gives proteins to your hair growth encompassed with the hair shaft. There are three layers to these keratins. Medulla is the innermost layer which is situated in all hair shafts. The cortex as the second layer provides the bulk of the hair shaft. With the help of this layer, your hair color is determined by pigmentation which is inside this layer. The last outermost layer is called the cuticle. This cuticle contains with a series of extending cells. And from this cuticles luster and sheen comes out.

Catagen Phase

This transitional phase runs about two to three weeks. At any given time approximately 3% of your hair is in this phase. There is no hair growth during this period while the out portion of the hair root sheath shrinks and attaches itself to the root.

Telogen Phase

This phase, known as the "resting period" is experienced by approximately 15% of your hair. Telogen lasts for around 100 days for scalp hair and significantly longer for other hair in your body.

Anagen Phase

This phase defines a period of activity where the hair cells are dividing and new hair growth occurs. This phase can last for as long as two to six years. Shorter growth periods are indicative of people who have trouble growing their hair long.

Hair Growth Disorders

Promisingly, due to some hair disorder hair fails to growth. Disorders like Hirsutism and Hypertrichosis are the two typical conditions that directly affect lots of human beings. The women faces problems like excessive thick and dark hair growth, these hair disorders condition would found in them it will be Hirsutism disorder. Even the men and women are also suffered from this condition like hair growths on areas include the face, chest and even area surrounding the nipple. People often scared about problems like excessive hair growth in areas of your body where hair would rare to visible.
